Lunch included
Along the trip, you will enjoy wonderful views of Lake Argentino, Santa Cruz River, La Leona River and its beatiful valley and a breathtaking panorama of the Andes, which includes Mount Fitz Roy.
The bus stops for 15 minutes in La Leona Hotel. After that, it will continue westwards, by the south shore of Lake Viedma (10 Km) till the bottom of Mount Los Hornos, into Estancia Santa Teresita lands. The arrival time to this point is 11.30 am. From there, the group starts a three hours hike among fossil remains. At the middle of the trip, the guides invite you to stop in order to have lunch. Along the trail you will see a large number of petrified trunks that lie on the surface, fact that clearly shows the conditions and characteristics of the area in former times. Some of these trunks have a diameter of 1.20 m. Finally, the bus starts the way back at 3 pm, to arrive in El Calafate at 5.30 pm.
